Music to soothe your soul
Lately I have been revisiting some old favorites and checking out some new bands. I will be the first to admit that a lot of music that is put out today sucks. But, there are some bands that are really good. I’m going to share some of the albums I have destroying my eardrums.
Iron Maiden- Somewhere In Time
Classic album, probably one of the best metal albums ever. I remember buying this tape back in the 80’s and playing it over and over. Songs like Wasted Years, Heaven Can Wait, and Stranger In A Strange Land.
A flawless record that will stand the test of time. You can put on some headphones and get lost in the lyrics and music.
The Jasons–Stalk And Slash Summer
I fucking love The Jasons! This is the punk music I have been missing. They remind me of old Screeching Weasel, and that is a huge compliment. The songs are catchy and very creative. Camp Arawak, Stalk And Slash Summer, Saturday The 14th, hell every song on this album is rad. I really hope to see them live one day and hang out with them. The Cramps- Bad Music For Bad People
What else can be said about this? Nothing. Great album, will always be one of my favorite albums and bands of all time. Lux Interior and Poison Ivy were way ahead of their time. Still sad about Lux, he was a great front man. At least we will always have these albums to keep him in our hearts.
